Miles and Miles of Smiles

“A great experience to discover a new city in Japan.”

Kisarazu is located in Chiba Prefecture and is 30 minutes away from Haneda Airport. Our team was lucky to explore this beautiful city with the help of Kisarazu Tourism Promotion Section.

First stop is Umihotaru. This attraction is a man-made island that is accessible from the Tokyo Wan Aqua Line tunnel. This landmark was designed like a ship which houses different restaurants, coffee shops, and confectionaries (Takoyaki is a must try!). Visitors can also buy Loquats which is a local specialty. It’s a fruit that tastes like yam bean with a texture of peaches. If you’re up to nothing, you can stay at the top deck and just relax while enjoying the view of the sea.

Next Stop is Mother Farm. They call this attraction an entertainment farm for the whole family. A lot of activities can be done here. Kids can milk cows, watch the ducks parade and piggy race. Families can also watch the Agrodome Sheep Show and do strawberry or blueberry picking. A tour of the whole farm is a must do to see the blossoming flowers every summer, spring and autumn.

After the sumptuous lunch, it’s time for shopping! Off to Mitsui Outlet Park-Kisarazu, the newest addition to the Mitsui Outlet Park family and was designed with an emphasis on natural environment and relaxing seaside atmosphere.

Though it was raining the whole day, we were happy to be given a chance to discover and explore Kisarazu. It was a one of a kind experience.
